How Siepser Eyecare is Addressing COVID-19
How We’re Serving Our Community
At Siepser Eyecare, our reputation for exceptional care comes from our high standards and the personal touch we provide to every patient. COVID-19 compromised our ability to see you in person to give you the high-quality personalized care you deserve. In order to best care for your overall health, and the health of the community, we made the difficult decision to temporarily shut our doors and offer virtual services until it’s safe to reopen in full capacity.
In order to do our part in protecting our patients, our staff, and our community, we’re establishing safety protocols for the office so you can return with confidence. Telehealth appointments and virtual consults will continue to be available and are a good opportunity for a family member or friend to join you to get all your questions answered.
We encourage you to set up a free virtual consultation if you have any questions or would like to learn more about LASIK or cataract surgery. Call us at 610-265-2020 or send an email to info@siepservision.com to learn more. If you’re experiencing an eye care emergency, you can call or text Dr. Siepser at 215-990-1000.
We also recently announced the opening of our brand-new Siepser Dry Eye Center! We’re proud to be able to offer a truly unique approach to treatment for patients with blurry vision, itchy, and irritated eyes. To schedule a consult with our dry eye specialist, Dr. Michele Pendrak, O.D., click here.
How We’re Keeping You Safe
Your safety and health are our top priority. That is why we developed new safety protocols to keep our patients and staff safe and healthy when they’re in any of our offices:
- Every member of our staff will have their temperature taken throughout the day, and will be outfitted with the proper protective gear, including masks and gloves, at all times.
- Protective barriers will be installed throughout our offices, and our waiting rooms will be adjusted so that proper social distancing can be practiced.
- We will make extra sanitation efforts and space out appointment times so that we can ensure that every exam room is thoroughly cleaned before and after each appointment.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
We will be making changes to how appointments are conducted to limit face-to-face interactions and help our patients and staff practice social distancing. To this end, every service that we offer will have a virtual component: pre- and post-operative appointments, surgery consultations, and certain routine exams can be conducted through telehealth. Please contact us to speak about your eye care needs, and together we’ll decide how to safely care for you and your eyes.
If you’re scheduled for an in-office appointment, you will receive an e-mail from us the night before your visit with instructions on how to check in once you arrive. We ask that you wait in your car and text or call our office when you arrive. We also ask that family and friends wait in the car during your visit. You will be scheduled for a telehealth follow up appointment — this is the opportunity for a family member or friend to join you and make sure all your questions have been answered.
When we’re ready to bring you in for your appointment, one of our staff members will greet you at the door, take your temperature, and ask a few questions to screen for any health issues.
Next, you’ll be immediately taken back to the exam lane. You will be assigned one member of our staff to guide you through your entire appointment to limit your interactions to the minimum necessary. We ask that all patients and visitors wear a mask in our offices: if you don’t have your own mask, we’ll provide you with one.
Despite the changes we’ve made and the precautions we’ve put in place, you can rest assured that you’ll still receive the high-quality, personalized care you’ve come to expect from us at Siepser Eyecare. We’re happy to schedule virtual appointments for you and your family so that we can answer any questions you may have about your eye health. Call us at 610-265-2020 or email info@siepservision.com to speak with us about your eye care.
