Study finds LASIK to provide better visual acuity than contact lense use:

"A comparison of patients using daily wear contact lenses (CLs) and those who underwent wavefront-guided LASIK strongly indicated that the latter provides better subjective results and better binocular uncorrected visual acuity." http://ophthalmologytimes.modernmedicine.com/ophthalmologytimes/news/lasik-rivals-contact-lenses-visual-acuity-and-comfort

June 2016:

On April 23, 2016, Dr. Siepser was honored to participate in the AMO Advanced Cataract Surgery Course coordinated by Dr. Kevin Miller, Chair in Ophthalmology, UCLA Medical School and sponsored by Abbott and several other major industry members along with local faculty. He was one of 2 surgeons recruited from across the nation to teach 45 residents advanced surgical techniques. Dr. Miller wanted the inventor of the "Siepser" sliding knot to teach his residents first hand. The course was packed the entire day.

April 2016: Dr. Steven Siepser has been recognized on Ocular Surgery News' Premier Surgeon 300 list. The list features premium refractive surgeons deemed to be innovators in refractive cataract surgery. Some of the qualities noted as essential to making the list are an ability to educate colleagues, innovation, and the development of new techniques to advance refractive cataract surgery.

Dr. Siepser appears in the March 2016 Capitol Update to speak on the topic of agriculture in Chester County:

Dr. Siepser leads team in instructing attendees on the use of the Siepser Sliding Knot at the 2015 International ASCRS meeting in San Diego: The response? "Fantastic" Instructional!

After a successful instructional at the 2015 American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery conference, Dr. Siepser and his team received an appreciative thank you from Joyce D'Andrea, the Clinical Coordinator of the ASCRS/ASOA Conference:

"Dear Drs. Siepser, Beiko, Chan, Compan, Condon, Crandall, Desai, Fram, Gagne, Herman, Jones, Mura, Ogawa, Parkhurst, Perez, Rocha, Varma and Vold,

To each of you who so graciously donated your time and shared your expertise in instructing/co-instructing the attendees of the Iris Suture Skills Transfer Lab at ASCRS in San Diego on Sunday, April 19, we extend our sincere appreciation.  Your commitment to these skills labs is invaluable, and as we review the evaluations, it is clear that the attendees have rated the educational benefit, and particularly the individual instruction as a ‘5’ (completely satisfied).  We received evaluations with comments from 14 of the 16 attendees, and among the comments were:

‘Great course; Excellent instruction; Great techniques taught & wonderful pre-requisite course, as well; Fantastic instruction’

We could not have accomplished any of this without your willingness to participate.

Many, many thanks!  It is an honor and a pleasure to work with all of you... Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any comments/suggestions for the planning of future skills labs. We look forward to seeing you in New Orleans next May."
